We train athletes with a high political and ideological level, capable of achieving their integration into our provincial teams, being worthy representatives, allowing us to maintain the level of promotions and the condition of our municipality in Cuban Sports, raising the scientific-technical qualification of our resources. human and the use of technological innovations, offering our population a high degree of satisfaction and improvement of the quality of life.

We fulfill our social mandate, promote and promote the systematic practice of sport, improve results at the grassroots, municipal and provincial levels, contribute athletes to well-trained provincial centers in the physical, technical and ideological order, with solid ethical and moral values.

We have a total of 210 workers. Of these, 101 are graduates, 68 are mid-level technicians, and 41 are non-teaching workers. Our workers are distributed in the three combined that the municipality has (Manguito-6 de Agosto, Calimete-Cespedes-Rabí, Amarillas). We have 19 athletes inserted in provincial centers and 4 in national centers. In the municipality there are a total of 26 APIs (students with an immediate perspective), which are possible new entrants to the EIDE provincial center. A total of 17 sports are practiced in the territory and 23 Physical Culture and 18 Recreation programs are worked on. We also have in the municipality 6 Relevant Sports Figures and 3 Sports Glories.

We have various facilities in the municipality in order to guarantee the practice of sports, physical culture, and recreation for our population.

From 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM we work with older adults.

Maibelis Sardiñas Rivero

He was born on August 5, 1983 in the town of Amarillas, Calimete municipality. He entered his training as an athlete at the EIDE provincial of Matanzas in the handball sport from 1995 to 2001, where he participated in different provincial and national events as a member of the yumurino team. During this trajectory she achieved satisfactory results crowning herself national champion for several years. She was subsequently recruited to become part of the national team, where she achieved the gold medal at the Central American Games and the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro 2007.

Neibis Mederos

He was born on December 1, 1984 in the town of Amarillas, Calimete municipality.
