The Municipal Directorate of Labor and Social Security is commissioned by the state and the government to direct, control and advise Labor, Prevention, Assistance and Social Work Policy; Occupational Safety and Health, achieve effectiveness in the use of the workforce with the advancement of the new economic management model, protect the population that requires it, to contribute to the constant increase in labor productivity and to the strengthening of the system of labor justice.
Chores:
- Direct and control employment policy. Project, coordinate and advise the training actions of human resources in matters within our competence.
- Control the application of the General Labor Relations Regulation.
- Direct and control the salary and stimulation policy for the results achieved in the work, proposal and control of the payment systems in MLC as well as in the organization of work.
- Propose, direct, administer, control and, where appropriate, carry out social security systems in coordination with the corresponding organizations.
- Direct and control the prevention and social care policy in coordination with the corresponding organizations.
- Propose, coordinate and control the policy for comprehensive care for disabled people.
- Coordinate, direct and control the general policy and actions of Safety and Health at Work, and verify the effectiveness of the means of individual protection.
- Evaluate the behavior of labor discipline and promote its improvement.
- Organize, attend to and guide the functioning of the Bodies that in the entities know and resolve labor conflicts.
- Prioritized orientation to the Business Improvement process, essentially its salary and labor component.
